Living Sculpture
A virtual friend in Second Life, Gary Bukowski, sometimes sends me little scripts or object experiments he makes. One day I remember some little jello cubes he sent me that morphed and changed colors when you walked past them. I was in one of my "hmmm I wonder" moods and I started fiddling around. I made this sculpture which literally re-shapes itself around you as you walk through. It seems like it's alive and it is never the same twice. The viewer is a part of the sculpture and if more the one viewer is present, it plays off both viewers. It feels like you are a part of the sculpture. This is what I love about virtual art. This would be impossible in the real world and the effect is dramatic.
